CrisisLead proudly announces that our CEO, Christopher Stitt, has been recognized as a FEMA Level II Master Continuity Practitioner. This prestigious certificate is the culmination of over four years of dedication, training, and expertise in the field of continuity management.
The FEMA National Continuity Programs (NCP) established the Continuity Excellence Series (CES) – Level I, Professional Continuity Practitioner and Level II, Master Continuity Practitioner – to ensure organizations have a viable continuity capability in the face of disasters and disruptions.
Level 1 – Professional Continuity Practitioner
Christopher’s journey to master continuity principles began in 2020. Between 2020 and 2021, he completed 11 courses necessary to obtain the Level I Professional Continuity Practitioner Certificate. These courses covered fundamental concepts and practices in business and government continuity, communications, incident command, and crisis management exercises. Each course included an exam, with a minimum passing score of 75%. Christopher successfully completed these requirements, and FEMA issued his Level I certificate in May 2021.
Level II – Master Continuity Practitioner
Building on this foundation, Christopher pursued the Level II Master Continuity Practitioner Certificate. This began with intensive training in planning, evaluation, and continuity instructional delivery. This included 48 classroom hours of courses in leadership and influence, exercise evaluation, devolution planning, building design for continuity planning, and instructional skills.
Part of Christopher’s core values are “explore – collaborate – teach.”
So, it comes as no surprise that As part of the certification process, Christopher chose the instructor path. He co-instructed FEMA’s Continuity of Operations Program Management course from March 11-14, 2024. This hands-on experience further deepened his understanding of continuity concepts and practices.
The final step in the certification process was the completion of a proctored exam consisting of 150 questions from all disciplines. This closed-note, closed-book exam required Christopher to demonstrate his comprehensive understanding of continuity principles and practices in a two-hour timeframe.
On April 25, FEMA issued the Level II Master Continuity Practitioner Certificate to Christopher for his exemplary performance and commitment to advancing the nation’s continuity program.
Christopher’s achievement underscores CrisisLead’s commitment to excellence in continuity management and our dedication to preparing organizations for any challenge they may face. We congratulate Christopher on this significant accomplishment and look forward to his continued leadership in the field of continuity planning.
